Starwood Hotels and Resorts have signed a deal with Khaldia Towers Company, entering into a partnership between Al Hokair Group and Al Jedaie Group to operate Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Marking an entry of its brand into Gulf Kingdom, the Four Points by Sheraton Riyadh Khaldia will start operating in 2013 second quarter.
Starwood stated that the hotel features 376 rooms with 18 meeting rooms with fitness center and spa, three restaurants and lounges, an event and meeting space including 138 suites.
Roeland Vos, the President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts for Africa, Europe & Middle East said that they are delighted to introduce Four Points by Sheraton to the Kingdom and looking ahead for further expansion in the country.
Roeland also said that it is the right time to extend Starwood Portfolio all over the country as Saudi Arabia attracts people travelling on business and pilgrims.
Othman S Abahussain, the general manager of Khaldia Towers Company said that they are excited about opening the first hotel with Starwood. There is great demand for mid market hotel brands in the country.
Starwood runs almost 50 hotels and resorts all over Middle East under eight of nine company’s lifestyle brands. Starwood will be operating 12 hotels including Four Points in Saudi Arabia with further five new hotels slated to operate by the next three years.
