Qatar Airways has officially launched passenger flights to its fifth North American destination – Chicago.
The Doha based airways initially starts with thrice a week service and will improve the capability on the non-stop Chicago route to a daily operation from 15th June 2013.
With the addition of Chicago, the airways global network comes to 126 destinations in six continents across Africa, Asia, Europe, Middle East, North America and South America.
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways chief executive at the inaugural flight ceremony at Chicago said that they are looking ahead to connect the Midwest to the Middle East and beyond.
Akbar Al Baker is also coming up with the possibility of additional routes, the United States stays back as a focal point for the airline.
He also added that the presence for more than two years with dedicated freighter services clearly demonstrates Qatar Airways’ commitment to the city. The economic benefits extend to important regional industries as well as education, engineering and commodities trading.
Qatar Airways, voted as the best airline for two years service, is eager to introduce the city to award winning business, strengthening relationships and bonding between Chicago and Doha.
