New York’s Hometown Airline – JetBlue Airways and Qatar Airways are named as The Airline of the Year at the annual Skytrax World Airline Awards in 2011 and 2012, for the outstanding operational excellence and in-flight product. Both the Airways have announced a one-way Codeshare program connect the carriers networks through New York’s John F Kennedy International Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport. The Codeshare comes into effect subject to the receipt of the government approval.
The two airlines have been enabling customers to enjoy the convenience of single combined ticket for Qatar and JetBlue operated flights, along with one stop check in and baggage transfer, being interline partners since 2011.
The tickets with Qatar Airways flight number will be for sale for JetBlue operated connections in 26 markets between New York/JFK and Washington Dulles.
JetBlue customers can avail Qatar Airways connecting service to destinations across Africa, Asia Pacific Regions, Middle East including 12 cities in India and destinations including Bangkok, Dubai, and Dar es Salaam, Islamabad, Kuwait, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Nairobi and Riyadh.
JetBlue is one to the top most domestic airline at JFK with above 150 daily departures to major U.S. cities including Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Chicago, Los Angeles, Orlando, Sa Juan, San Francisco, and Puerto Rico from its home at the modern terminal 5.
