Hertz Global Holdings’ subsidiary Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group recently announced that they are expanding their “Thrifty Car Rental” and “Dollar Rent a Car” brands in Europe.
114 corporate locations have been opened by the company in Spain, Luxembourg and France, with Spain to add another 22 in the upcoming months. The company also re-acquired the brand rights of Thrifty and Dollar from 24 Mobility, the Benelux franchise partner. With this, they will be opening 9 new locations in Netherlands and Belgium under corporate ownership.
Keeping the European travellers in mind, these new stores will be opened in the key leisure destinations. The presence can be felt at Nice, Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports in France while the Spanish locations include Barcelona and Malaga airports.
Through franchise and corporate location openings in other European countries, the company is planning to spread its wings further in the coming years. The rapid international growth also includes a number of locations in Africa and the Middle East.
